10 Simple Steps to Increase Your Productivity Do you feel that you have no control over your life. Do you make decisions or feel that they "just happen" Are you living your life or is your life controlling YOU? If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, then this article is for you. Read on to discover the 10 simple steps you can take to increase your productivity and begin to live the life you deserve. Enjoy……. Step 1. – You Need a Plan. You’ve probably heard this a million times "If You Fail to plan, Then you plan to fail". At the very least you should know what it is you want……REEEEAAALLLLY WANT! Then you simply design a plan to get there. Sounds easy doesn’t it? Then why do so many people NOT do it? So decide NOW! and make it BIG. Make it SCARY! If you are going to live your dream you may as well make it a BIG DREAM. It takes the same amount of energy to dream small as it does to dream big. So don’t waste your energy on small dreams, dream BIG, REALLY BIG! Your dreams should seem to be (at the outset anyway) almost impossible to achieve. So begin today by writing down your life’s dreams and goals. START NOW! Step 2. – Your Daily Action Plan. According to Napoleon Hill (Think and Grow Rich) one of the .mon threads running through practically ALL successful people, is their habit of writing down a daily action plan. So this is how you begin this all important success habit: a). Every night immediately before going to sleep, write down a list of 6 things you will do tomorrow to move you towards your dream life. b). Begin working through your list of 6 actions ONE AT A TIME. DO NOT think about the next item on your list until you have finished the present item. DO NOT think about the previous item on your list once you have moved on to the next item. c). As much as you can, endeavor to finish all 6 items on your daily action plan every day. However, if you don’t, simply move the items you did not .plete onto the next days list. d). Once you begin this, ensure you do it for at least 30 consecutive days (yes even weekends) This way you WILL turn it into a habit. Just by .mitting and doing your daily action plan you will be amazed at the difference it can make to your results! Step 3. – Make Decisions With Confidence. Wherever you are in life, you can be assured that at some point in time, you had to make a decision about something, you just can’t get away from it, you HAVE TO MAKE DECISIONS IN LIFE! Now, the difference between winners and losers is: Winners make decisions quickly and very rarely change their minds, whereas losers make decisions slowly and change their minds frequently (I first heard that superbly profound statement from Bob Proctor, a great mentor of mine). So how do you be.e a great decision maker? You start from where you are RIGHT NOW! Decide right now to be.e a successful decision maker. Make your decisions with confidence. Remember that wherever you are in your life, and whatever your results, you will have arrived there as a result of a series of decisions you have made along the way. Step 4. – Be Prepared. Henry Hartman once said "Success always .es when preparation meets opportunity" However, it is all too easy to get bogged down with the preparation. As long as you follow the steps as laid down in the previous 3 steps above, then you will be adequately prepared. The important thing is to take action on what you have prepared, if necessary you can always change course as you go. Step 5. – Be Organized. Organize your environment. Don’t waste time looking for "stuff". A tidy environment (whether it be at work or at home) is a tidy mind. I have lost count over the number of times I have been in a friends car for instance, and you would think that they spent every single minute of their lives in there, food wrappers, newspapers, receipts, bits of food (oh yes they say they haven’t the time to clear it up) and you can bet your bottom dollar that their minds are in exactly the same state. So keep your environment organized and you keep your mind organized. This step alone will produce amazing positive changes in your life. Step 6. – Focus on Your Big Vision. Always have your big vision in mind. Remember this quote from Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. So keep your thoughts ALWAYS on your goals, dreams and aspirations. As long as you do this it will help you to over.e the inevitable obstacles you will surely meet along the way. Step 7. – Look After Yourself. A healthy and productive mind goes hand in hand with a healthy and productive body. So feed your mind only with the right information and feed your body only with the right food. Exercise your mind regularly (you can do this with regular meditation practices and positive affirmations) and obviously take regular physical exercise as well. You will be astounded at just how much more productive and creative you can be with your ideas just by following this step of the process. Step 8. – Keep Hydrated. Drink plenty of water. It is not .monly known that your creativity is adversely effected by a lack of fluid intake. So if you are sitting there thinking that you have run out of ideas for your next article or newsletter, then it could simply be that you need some fluids. Scientists have long since proven that the brain needs adequate hydration in order to perform at its peak. So take a regular drink of water, and see your creative juices begin to flow effortlessly. Step 9. – Go The Extra Mile. Just when you think you cannot write another line, or do another Sales presentation, that is the exact time to just "DO IT". Again referencing Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, another success trait he discovered was the habit of going the extra mile. This trait inherent in successful people means that they ALWAYS do more than is necessary, and ALWAYS finish what they start. So get into the habit of going the extra mile EVERYDAY and watch your life begin to grow to unprecedented levels. Step 10.- Be Grateful. Be grateful for what you have NOW! and you will receive more of the same. So do this every night before you go to sleep: a). Take a sheet of paper, or use a pad and write down at least 5 things you are grateful for from that day. b). Say them out loud as you write them down. (If you get stuck then just think of the things or people you have in your life right now, it could be just having access to clean fresh water for example, or the love of a spouse or child) c). At the end of the week, find yourself somewhere quiet, and read out loud ALL of the previous 7 days gratitude lists you have written down. You see by being grateful for what you already have, you are opening yourself up to receiving more "stuff" to be grateful for. This is one of the natural laws of the universe. So that’s it folks, the next time you feel you’re being dragged along by life’s currents, just go over these 10 simple steps, increase your productivity and you’ll soon be living the life of your dreams. All the best. -Jon 相关的主题文章:
