Hdil India Couture Week-cosmax

Beauty After a spirit dampening first day cancellation entered its second year with a grand opening yesterday in Mumbai. There were no signs of disappointment as all seemed to have forgotten the last minute Abu-Sandeep back out and looked in high spirits to watch the up.ing shows. Swarovski seemed to have created a luxurious ambiance in the entire arena, drawing inspirations from the ‘Lotus’. However, the granddame one would expect at an ‘Haute Couture’ show was felt wanting! The first show of the week was a Jewellery showcasing by four prominent jewellery designers. Once again, the Main Show Area was nothing out of the box. We did like the crystallised rectangular arch, but the chandeliers with cloth cover and tassels were pretty unimaginative, especially having seen them recently at Tarun Tahiliani’s show at LFW. Changing the lights after each of the four showcasing kept giving a new look to the white and lilac set. We were still trying to figure out the point of hanging a fan right at the entry point on the ramp, which was in turn, covered with a layer of velvet cloth that made sashaying quite perilous for the models. Devaunshi Mehta opened the show with ‘Dia’- Models in black and grey chiffon gowns loaded with heavy ornamentation mesmerized the audiences. I have to mention that it was pretty un-cool on Zayed Khan’s part to appear late, just popping out from nowhere in the arena and jumping on the ramp to grab his seat in the middle of the show. Anyway, the next sequence was presented by Maheep Kapoor. The colourful sensual gowns by Ana Singh broke the monotony of black & white. With a great sense pride Maheep made her husband Sanjay Kapoor and young daughter walk the ramp with her. The next line mesmerized all as Sridevi opened the collection by Queenie Dhody. Boney Kapoor and their lovely daughters didn’t miss a chance to see mommy walking the runway. The bunch of models in black actually looked like sensual goddesses with quite distinct styling and creative drapes created by designer Raakesh Agarvwal. This was followed by Farah Khan’s collection, which brought the show to an end. The designer showcased a fabulous collection of couture jewellery pieces while sister Suzanne Roshan and friend Genelia Dsouza added charm by walking the runway for Farah in Gauri & Nainika gowns. Looking nothing less than a princess, Suzzane got a little carried away with all the attention from the front row and f.ot to turn and pose on her way back to the wings and there was Hrithik who came to her rescue and gestured her to do the same… fetching him a flying kiss after all- a beautiful moment for all! Other known faces included Raveena Tandon, Dia Mirza, Karan Johar, Dimple Kapadia with daughter Twinkle Khanna and designer Manish Malhotra. Also present were Rhea Pillai, Avanti Birla, Tania Deol, Ramona Narang, Pinky Reddy, Hiroo Johar, Nitin Goenka, Priya Kakkar, Rima Jain, Prerna Goel, Sharmilla Khanna, Sheetal Mafatlal, Maya Alagh, Farhad Taraporvala and Kekashan Patel The Review: Dia Mirza: It was incredible! I specially loved Farah’s. Sanjay Kapoor: I am a proud husband today. Maheep Rocked! Dimple Kapadia: All of them were really beautiful, but Farah’s collection was the most impactful for me. Twinkle Khanna: Besides others, ‘Farah’ had a really beautiful collection! About the Author: 相关的主题文章:
